This series will deal with the relationship between Jesus Christ and the world and describe how the church can best engage the culture that surrounds them.
Discussion Questions
- Read Matthew 20:20-28 together. Jesus says things will be different with Christians (v26). What comparison is Jesus making?
- The sermon unpacked the Transformationist model. Compare the positives (i.e. distinct worldview) and the extremes (i.e. misuse of power) in this approach of bringing Christ to culture.
- Discuss the cultural idols that meet our human desire for power instead of Jesus. How do you struggle with the idol of power (influence, contral, status in money, work, family etc)?
