This series will deal with the relationship between Jesus Christ and the world and describe how the church can best engage the culture that surrounds them.
Discussion Questions
1. Do you tend to have a fight or flight response to perceived threats? As the church responds to culture, why is fight (Transformational extreme) or flight (counter-culturalist extreme) unhelpful in sharing the Gospel?
2. Read together John 17:13-23 (NLT) – How does the passage validate a counter-culturalist Christian community? How does it dismiss the extreme of completely fleeing from the culture?
3. Share an idol that offers you control and security instead of Jesus? Pray for each other.
